The Accelerated Certificate in the Financial Planning Traditional Classroom program is a CFP Board-registered program that will enable
you to sit for the upcoming CFP® Certification Examination. Led by Kaplan Schweser's leading academic professionals, the traditional
classroom program is an opportunity to master difficult curriculum concepts in a structured learning environment and give you the focus you need.
The Traditional Classroom is included as a choice when you purchase a Premium or Essential Study Solution. It's a great
complement to these comprehensive study packages!
Traditional Classroom Program
The complete program is comprised of six modules (FP101–106) and can be completed in only nine months. For each module, students will
receive a CFP Board-required textbook, approximately 100 pages of pre-study materials and will attend a live class that lasts approximately
four days. Classroom instruction is equivalent to 30 hours for the first course (FP101) and 40 hours for the remaining courses (FP102–106).
At the end of each class, a final examination will be given. Students must achieve a passing score of 70% or greater before proceeding to
the next module. Once a module is completed successfully, students may move on to the next session (or module) in the program.
Required Pre-Study
The program is divided into six classroom sessions (modules), with approximately six weeks of required pre-study before each class.
We recommend at least 60 hours of pre-study for the first course (FP101) and 80 hours of pre-study for the subsequent courses (FP102–106)
prior to attending each classroom session. Students are expected to come to class prepared.
