1991

  • Dr. Carl Schweser starts Kaplan Schweser.

1999

  • Kaplan, Inc. acquires Kaplan Schweser.

2001

  • Kaplan Schweser acquires The Study Seminar for Financial Analysts (SSFA).

2002

  • Kaplan Schweser launches test preparation for the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation.

2003

  • Kaplan Schweser introduces Schweser Institute Certificate Program.
  • Kaplan Schweser acquires Excel Exam Review (formerly JKE).

2004

  • Kaplan Schweser joins forces with Kaplan CPA to offer test preparation for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.

2005

  • Kaplan Professional forms Kaplan Financial. The new organization brings together these leading brands: Dearborn Financial Services, BISYS Education Services, eMind, Insurance Achievement, Kaplan Schweser, Schweser Institute, and Kaplan CPA Review.

2006

  • Kaplan Schweser introduces Level 1 study materials for the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.

2007

  • Kaplan Schweser introduces Level 2 study materials for the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.
